Absenteroux is an alcohol-fortified wine, aromatised with herbs and spices. Absenterouxª is produced with white wine from Provence (Ugni Blanc, Grenache Blanc, Vermentino & Clairette), sugar, distillates (coriander, anise, lemon balm, mintÉ), gentian extracts, essence of wormwood É.and a natural aroma of vermouth (orange, plants and spices). \nAbsenteroux is up to 10 mg of thujone/liter. \nDry botanicals and spices are first macerated into beet alcohol. After specific times, plants and spices are drop of from the liquid. These solid parts are then distilled in small pot still, especially the wormwood. By combining white wines, infusions, distillates and essences, we finally achieve the finish product.
