After more than 6 years ageing in oak barrels, as is the HSE tradition, this vintage rum has been enhanced by a further four to five months in barrels previously used for peated KILCHOMAN whisky, a single malt from Scotland's Islay region.
\nMASTER TASTERS NOTE
\nThe nose transports us to a universe of peat and smoke and is enriched with aromas of tropical fruits, candied orange and golden tobacco. When swirled, notes of licorice and toast appear, while gradually giving way to the inviting cigar box aroma, characteristic of our aged rums. The taste is balanced with excellent breadth and asserts the peaty notes of the finish, enhanced by rare spices and soaked fruits aromas.
