Following the work of Elie Ferrand VIII, in his quest for excellence, Ambre is an example of what Ferrand does differently in their vineyards, analysing the characteristics of barrel aging to match the Cognac.
Blending a variety of VSOP Cognac made with the fruity grape that produces less-bitter cognacs with a higher alcohol content - Colombard grape - and aged in new oak and aged Cognac barrels, to create a premium cocktail Cognac.
Perfect Serve: Classic cocktails
Palate: Vanilla and floral notes of rose and violet, hint of apricot and prune. Very well balanced.
Nose: Subtle aromas of apple and pear appear with jasmine.
Raw Material: Ugni-Blanc and Colombard grapes.
Aging: A blend of Cognac between 6-8 years. 20% new Oak casks during the first few years, 80% aged Cognac barrels.
