Description
Collavini Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso Pucino — a structured Friulian red from Refosco, the most widely planted native red variety of Friuli, named for the ancient Pucino wine.
Made at Eugenio Collavini Viticoltori in Corno di Rosazzo (Friuli Venezia Giulia), a family winery founded in 1896 and now run by the fourth generation; Collavini works across the Friuli DOC, Collio, Ribolla Gialla and Grave appellations with a focus on Ribolla Gialla and the native Friulian variety range. Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso from the Friuli DOC; fermented and aged in large Slavonian oak for 12+ months, producing the variety's characteristic dark fruit and firm tannin.
