Gambetta Non-Alcoholic Traditional Aperitif 750ml

Gambetta is a traditional Provençal aperitif made from a long maceration of around fifty plants, fruits and barks. The recipe predates the dominance of pastis in southern France and the brand sits in the older anise-and-herb category once central to Marseille drinking culture.

The brand is named for Léon Gambetta — the Marseille MP and politician famous for fleeing Paris in a hot-air balloon during the 1870 Prussian siege and for being a principal architect of the French Third Republic. The non-alcoholic format is the modern positioning, served traditionally with sparkling water in place of pastis at the apéritif hour.
