Description
To clarify, Ribolla Nera is Schioppettino. This wine is from the home of Schioppettino and above all else it is a lovely example of the variety. Dark, peppery, dense with great acid. It is an elegant and soft wine and therefore will suit people who love wines made from Merlot, Pinot Noir, and/or Shiraz. It is not a super complex drink, but it is a pleasing drink. Drink it now, drink it in 7 years, it’ll make you happy either way.
The Collavini story starts in 1896. The noble families of Udine were enjoying the Collavini wines. Over the generations the family has stayed involved and improved on their earlier work.
