Description
Delord Floc de Gascogne Blanc is a traditional apéritif from France's Gascony region, crafted by blending two-thirds fresh grape juice from Gros Manseng, Ugni Blanc, Colombard, and Sauvignon grapes with one-third young Delord Armagnac. This mixture is then matured for at least nine months to preserve its fresh fruitiness.
The result is a fortified wine with a clear, pale straw yellow appearance and an alcohol content of 17%. On the nose, it offers aromas of white grapes, dried fruit, acacia honey, and a hint of buttery chamois leather. The palate reveals flavors of honeyed and dried fruits with a hint of liquorice.
Best served chilled between 8–12°C, Delord Floc de Gascogne Blanc pairs wonderfully with foie gras, melons, or as an after-dinner treat alongside fruit-based desserts.
