Distillerie Bielle has worked the cane fields of Marie-Galante since 1769 — one of only three distilleries left on the small Guadeloupean island once known as 'l'île aux cent moulins' for its hundred sugar mills. Sitting outside the AOC Martinique system, Marie-Galante rhum is its own tradition: full-strength, lightly filtered, with more of the cane left intact. Bielle's range starts with the soft Anita Blanc and runs to single-vintage 50%+ releases that drink closer to a high-ester pot-still rum than a polite agricole.

15 ml VEDRENNE Orange Curacao Liqueur - 25%
8 ml VEDRENNE Almond Syrup
1 mint Leaf
1 lime wheel
Method

Fill a shaker with ice cubes. Add all ingredients. Shake and strain into a rocks glass filled with crushed ice. Garnish with a mint leaf sprig and a lime wheel.
