Gelas & Fils, based in Vic-Fezensac in the Tenareze cru, is a family armagnac house producing from their own distillation across the standard age grades. Vic-Fezensac is historically the commercial centre of the Tenareze sub-region the most commercially active of the three armagnac crus and the seat of much of the trade through the 19th and 20th centuries. Gelas produces using the traditional armagnac alembic continu from estate and locally sourced grapes.

The range covers VS through XO and vintage selections. As a Tenareze producer, Gelas expressions reflect the clay-limestone soils of the middle cru structured, with earthy and dried-fruit character rather than the lighter floral profile of Bas-Armagnac. The house sits within the traditional Gascon family-producer model: smaller scale, multi-generational continuity, no marketing investment at the expense of cellar stock quality.
