Massenez
Alsace (Val de Villé) · Est. 1870
Maison Massenez has been producing fruit liqueurs and eaux-de-vie in Ribeauville (Alsace) since 1870. Alsace is the French heartland of fruit-based spirits: the region grows mirabelle plum, quetsch plum, kirsch cherries, framboise, myrtille, and a range of orchard and berry fruit that form the basis of the Massenez range. The house produces both fruit cremes de fruit (liqueurs, sweetened) and unaged fruit eaux-de-vie (brandy distilled directly from the fruit) two distinct categories from the same raw material tradition.
With 96+ expressions in the Bouchon catalogue, Massenez is the largest single producer by SKU count. The range covers fruit liqueur classics (cassis, framboise, peche, poire, abricot, cerise), the Alsatian specialities (mirabelle, quetsch, prunelle), and the more unusual preparations (ginger, violet, elderflower, hibiscus, passion fruit, exotic). The 5-litre format is available across the core range for back-bar bulk supply. For on-premise programmes running house cocktails, sours, tiki menus, or any serious fruit-liqueur programme, Massenez provides the most complete French fruit-liqueur toolkit in the catalogue.
