Westward Whiskey is produced in Portland, Oregon one of the leading craft whiskey distilleries of the American Pacific Northwest. The distillery produces exclusively American Single Malt whiskey (100% malted barley, pot still distillation, aged in new American oak), which is distinct from Bourbon (corn-dominant) and Scottish single malt (different barley varieties, used oak, different climate). Oregon's cool, damp climate and the use of new oak produces a spirit with significant vanilla and toffee character alongside the grain.
