Domaine Philippe Collotte is a Marsannay producer in the Côte de Nuits (Burgundy) the northernmost appellation in the Côte de Nuits, immediately south of Dijon, uniquely entitled to produce Burgundy in all three colours: Rouge (Pinot Noir), Blanc (Chardonnay), and Rosé. The estate makes Marsannay Rouge and Rosé from Pinot Noir grown on limestone and clay soils of the village communes.
Marsannay provides Côte de Nuits Pinot Noir character darker fruit, firmer structure than Côte de Beaune at village-level pricing accessible for by-the-glass service. The Marsannay Rosé is distinctive within Burgundy: dry, mineral, structured Pinot Noir rosé from the appellation's northernmost commune.
