Jean Fillioux
Cognac — Grande Champagne 1er Cru (Juillac-le-Coq) · Est. 1880
Jean Fillioux is a multi-generation family cognac house based in Jarnac-Champagne, in the heart of the Grande Champagne cru. The Fillioux family has produced cognac from the same estate land continuously since the 19th century one of a small number of Grande Champagne families with this depth of unbroken production history. Grapes are grown on the estate's own Ugni Blanc vineyards, distilled in Charentais copper pot stills on site, and aged in the family's own cellars.
The Jean Fillioux range spans from Reserve Familiale through Napoleon, XO, and Tres Vieux, with the Coq d'Or as the house's long-aged flagship. At XO and Tres Vieux levels, Jean Fillioux cognac develops the deep rancio and dried-fruit concentration that characterises long-aged Grande Champagne. For on-premise programmes, the Reserve Familiale provides an estate-produced Grande Champagne entry point at accessible by-the-glass pricing; the Coq d'Or is for collector-tier digestif service.
