Description
The name "Oltre Vallo" Beyond The Vallo recalls how no one has ever been able to go beyond the old fortifications of Hadrian, the wall which was the northernmost boundary of the Roman Empire in Britain for most of the period of Roman rule over these lands. A fortification which divided the island into two parts.
No one could ever get past this boundary, until today, when the Highlands and Monferrato join symbolically in a distillate aged 24 months in oak barrels and 6 months in casks of single malt scotch whiskey, where it rests for years in the ageing cellars of the family Berta.
