Bentu Luna Unda Vermentino di Sardegna DOC 2022

From a small coastal vineyard in Riola Sardo on the Oristano coast, farmed by Bentu Luna in the historic heartland of Mandrolisai Barigadu in central Sardinia. Vines are between 35 and 120 years of age. Grapes are destemmed and delicately pressed; after static clarification of the must, fermentation takes place via pied de cuve in cement tanks and terracotta amphorae over 7-10 days. No oak. Straw yellow in colour. The nose is simultaneously tart, floral and grassy with ample fruity aromas, aromatic herbs and a mineral salinity. The sip is dry and fresh with the characteristic bitter-almond finish of fine Sardinian Vermentino, and a savoury, harmonious close.
