Bigi Orvieto Classico 2023

Orvieto sits on a volcanic tufa plateau in southern Umbria, where the naturally cool cave cellars have been used for wine production since Etruscan times. Bigi established itself in the zone in 1852 and built one of the larger cellar networks in the hill. The house produces Orvieto Classico in both the traditional abboccato (off-dry) and secco styles, plus a range of central Italian reds. It is now part of the Gruppo Italiano Vini (GIV) portfolio.

Seafood, grilled white fish, light pasta, mozzarella and aperitif service; a working by-the-glass Umbrian white for cellar and restaurant programs.
