On the palate

100% destemmed Gamay from the single-vineyard Bremley site beneath Gunnings Sugarloaf in Tasmania's Coal River Valley. Inoculated with selected yeast and matured to capture the variety's natural energy and spice. A Gamay of serious substance — dried red berries, a souk full of spices, with a faint suggestion of holy basil and tarragon. Sinewy suppleness and energetic momentum carry across the palate, finishing in a filigree lattice of fine tannins. Rated 96 points by Nick Ryan, The Weekend Australian.
