Château Labegorce 2017

Labégorce sits in the northern part of the Margaux appellation, where gravel ridges over clay subsoil are planted to a typical Médoc mix of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The estate changed ownership in 2006 when Massimiliano Rosso took over from the prior Peyronie family holding and invested in cellar renovation. The Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel classification was confirmed in the 2020 reclassification, placing Labégorce among the top tier of non-classified Médoc estates.

Roast rack of lamb, duck with cherry sauce, game birds and aged Bordeaux hard cheeses; a cellar-tier Margaux for laying down 5-12 years.
