Description

Domaine du Gros 'Noré Bandol Rosé — Alain Pascal's Mourvèdre-dominant Bandol rosé from La Cadière-d'Azur, one of Bandol's more restrained and mineral-focused rosé producers.

Made at Domaine du Gros 'Noré in La Cadière-d'Azur (Bandol, Provence) by Alain Pascal; the estate covers around 12 hectares of Mourvèdre-dominant vines on Bandol's limestone terraces, producing Bandol rouge, rosé and blanc across a focused range. Bandol rosé from direct-press Mourvèdre with Cinsault and Grenache; cool-fermented in stainless steel to retain the fresh maritime character of the coastal limestone terraces.

Nose: Pale citrus, white peach, soft dried herbs and garrigue, faint mineral lift. Palate: Dry, structured rosé with fresh acidity and fine mineral texture. Finish: Long, clean, saline-fruit close.

Pairing: Bouillabaisse, grilled fish, Provençal seafood dishes, grilled vegetables and tapenade; a cellar-tier Bandol rosé for laying down 2-5 years.
