Domaine Mader Pinot Gris 2024

From Domaine Mader's organically farmed vineyards in the picturesque village of Hunawihr, just south of Ribeauville, with holdings in the celebrated Rosacker Grand Cru. Grapes are hand harvested and whole-bunch pressed, then fermented with natural yeasts — 25% in used oak for 7 months on fine lees, the remaining 75% in stainless steel with 20% undergoing malolactic fermentation for added texture. Lifted and fruit-driven on the nose with peach, ripe apple and exotic tropical fruit. The palate is round and supple with concentrated orchard and tropical fruit, precise flavour, gentle residual sweetness and cleansing acidity. Fresh and persistent on the finish with lingering ripe fruit and sufficient depth for medium-term development. One of Tom Stephenson's Top 10 Best Value Producers in Alsace.
