Domaine Schoffit Riesling Lieu-dit Harth 2021

An old-vine bottling from the certified organic Harth lieu-dit near Colmar, sourced from 50-year-old vines planted on loam over a gravel foundation. Native fermented in stainless steel where it remained on lees until bottling, preserving freshness and purity. Focused and beautifully expressive, with an aromatic constellation of tart orange, sweet grapefruit, dried flowers, wet stone minerality, citrus peel and a topnote of lemongrass. The palate is bright, full-bodied and nicely round with a superb core of fruit, fine mineral undertow, a good spine of acidity and a long, ripe, beautifully balanced finish. Bone dry, drinking with impressive generosity now while retaining the structure to age gracefully.
