Luis Cañas Reserva Rioja 2016 — the estate's Reserva expression in the traditional Rioja style, drawn from old-vine Tempranillo parcels in Rioja Alavesa.
Made at Bodegas Luis Cañas in Villabuena de Álava (Rioja Alavesa), a family producer with vineyards on chalky-clay soils at altitude. The estate has been bottling since 1928 and is widely regarded as one of Alavesa's reference producers. Tempranillo-led Reserva from old vines aged the required minimum 12 months in oak with extended bottle ageing.
