Pooley Cooinda Vale Riesling 2025

From the original estate vineyard at Cooinda Vale in Campania, where Denis and Margaret Pooley planted the first ten rows of Riesling in 1985. Harvested in late March and mid-April, cooled overnight to 5C, whole bunch pressed and aged for 4 months on fine lees before bottling in August 2025. 12.8% alc/vol; just 1.2 g/L residual sugar; pH 2.95. Classic Cooinda Vale character — elegant, poised and precise. Delightful aromas of cherry ripe and caraway open to candied orange zest and mandarin with the clean acidity revitalising the palate, clearing the way for lime cordial, apple sherbet, dry honeysuckle and white jasmine on the lingering finish. The elegance of Cooinda Vale with its signature orange citrus aromas emerges beautifully from the gentle winemaking — 2025 was an ideal vintage for Tasmania and the Coal River region.
