Roche Paradis St Joseph La Madone 2022

Muscadet Sèvre et Maine is the largest of the Muscadet appellation zones, centred on the confluence of the Sèvre Nantaise and Maine rivers. The shallow, fast-draining gneiss and granite soils produce a naturally low-alcohol, high-acid style of Melon de Bourgogne. Sur lie ageing — leaving the wine on its fermentation lees through winter and into spring — is standard practice in the appellation and gives the wines a slight creaminess and autolytic freshness.
