Description
Cantina Terlano Pinot Bianco Vorberg Riserva — the cooperative's cellar-tier Pinot Bianco from the Vorberg single-vineyard.
Made at Cantina Terlano in Terlano (Alto Adige / Südtirol), a growers' cooperative founded in 1893 whose 143 member families farm steep, south-facing porphyry and volcanic soils in the central Alto Adige valley; Cantina Terlano is known for long-lived white wines — particularly Pinot Bianco — whose quality and cellar potential are unusual for the price. Pinot Bianco from the Vorberg single-vineyard on steep porphyry slopes above Terlano; fermented dry and aged 24 months on fine lees in large oak for deep mineral structure.
White peach, lemon curd, almond, chalk mineral and toasted brioche | Full, textural Pinot Bianco with fine mineral structure and exceptional length | Very long, mineral-and-almond, dry close
White truffle risotto, grilled veal with sage, fine fish dishes and aged mountain cheeses; a cellar-tier Alto Adige white for laying down 5-20 years.
