Tomfoolery's dedication to those who paved the way — and to those who will follow. Young Blood Shiraz takes old-world techniques and applies them with a modern Barossa sensibility. Sourced from small historic Barossa vineyards, the fruit is open fermented in small batches with native yeasts and 30% whole bunch for added complexity and spice, then basket pressed and matured for 6 months in old French oak before bottling unfiltered and unfined. Deep ruby with a vibrant pink rim. The nose is spicy and inviting — bramble, black cherry and fresh raspberry with a hint of cracked pepper. Soft damson plum and red berry fruit on the palate, medium to full-bodied with fine tannins and bright, refreshing acidity on the finish.
