"The Frapin family's vine-growing history in the Angoumois traces back to 1270, making it one of the older continuously vine-farming families in Cognac. The estate is now run by Jean-Pierre Cointreau, a direct descendant in the twenty-first generation, and remains one of the few major Cognac houses where vineyard, distillation, ageing and bottling are all carried out by the same family business.
