Woodlands Wilyabrup Valley Malbec 2024

100% Malbec from the Wilyabrup Valley, hand harvested from dry-grown vines and matured in French oak barrels for 14 months. The gravel subsoil ensures good drainage, while the high clay content enables good water retention throughout the long dry Margaret River summer. Deep purple in colour, the nose is rich with cacao nibs and mulberry lifted by violets, floral tones and a gentle hint of spice. On the palate, ripe plums and blackberries mingle with notes of dark chocolate. Round and silky tannins carry through to a long finish with elegance, harmony and balance. Quite simply, a seriously good Margaret River Malbec.
