On the palate
A kasutori shochu from Yahiko Shuzo, founded in 1838 in Yahiko village, Niigata. It is distilled at atmospheric pressure from the lees of the brewery's Izumiryu Koshinohakusetsu ginjo sake, then aged for five years at the brewery.
'Sanaburi' refers to the celebration held after rice planting, where this style of shochu was drunk. Yahiko Shuzo describes it as mellow and aromatic.
