Pere Jules is a Norman producer based in Saint-Desir (Pays d'Auge), operating from a small family estate with estate orchards. The name references Jules Desfriches, who established the production tradition in the early 20th century. The house produces both Pays d'Auge calvados (double distillation in copper pot stills) and traditional Norman cidre from the same estate apple varieties the cider and the calvados share the same orchard identity, making Pere Jules one of the few producers at Bouchon where the connection between cidre and distilled calvados is direct and documented.

The calvados range covers Reserve, 8-year, 12-year, and 18-year expressions. The cidre range uses traditional Norman bittersweet and bittersharp varieties the same fruit base as the calvados, at fermented-drink strength for table service.
