"Apsley Gorge sits on Tasmania's east coast at Bicheno, in a viticultural area still being defined relative to the better-known southern Tasmania zones. The east coast runs drier and warmer than the south, with the Tasman Sea moderating ripening — conditions that suit a more fruit-forward Pinot Noir style than the leaner south.

Cellar-list Chardonnay; pairs with crustacean, roast chicken with truffle, hard cheeses; lay down 5–10 years.
