"Marcel Couturier farms in the Mâconnais — the southernmost and warmest of the four major Burgundy areas — with the estate's vineyard concentration around the four Pouilly-named villages of Fuissé, Vergisson, Solutré-Pouilly and Chaintré that make up the Pouilly-Fuissé AOC. The granite-and-limestone soils on the Solutré–Vergisson rocks support concentrated, age-worthy Chardonnay.
