"Marie-Claude Delahaye, founder of the Auvers-sur-Oise Musée de l'Absinthe, partnered with George Rowley in 2000 to launch La Fée — among the first new absinthe brands in a century, after the spirit's century-long ban across Europe and the United States ended in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The brand played a meaningful role in re-establishing the legitimate-absinthe category outside of underground and Czech-style imitations.
