Baumard Carte Corail — a rosé from the Baumard range, drawing on Cabernet-based Anjou red varieties.
Made at Domaine des Baumard in Rochefort-sur-Loire, just south-west of Angers; Baumard family ownership since 1634, organic-certified, Chenin-Blanc-led across Savennières, Coteaux du Layon and Quarts de Chaume. The Carte Corail is a rosé from the Baumard Anjou-Cabernet range, vinified to retain dry-Provençal-style colour and freshness.
Nose: Strawberry, redcurrant, white-flower. Palate: Dry, fresh red-fruit weight with clean Loire acidity. Finish: Bright, dry, fruit-led.
Pairing: Summer salads, charcuterie, grilled fish and light tuna tartare; a working dry Loire rosé for house-pour and by-the-glass programs.
