Description
Woodlands Clementine — single-vineyard Brook Vineyard blend named for Andrew and Marie Watson's daughter. The Brook Vineyard headline red.
Made by the Watson family at Woodlands (planted 1973), one of the original five Margaret River vineyards in Wilyabrup. Two estate sites: the Caves Road home block and Brook Vineyard on Puzey Road (acquired 2007). Cabernet-led Bordeaux-style blend with Malbec lift, French-oak matured; single-vineyard Brook fruit.
Nose: Concentrated blackcurrant, dark cherry, soft cedar, plum, faint mint. Palate: Layered Cabernet structure with Malbec lift and Merlot mid-palate weight. Finish: Very long, structured, fruit-and-oak balance.
Pairing: Cellar-list bottle; pairs with slow-cooked beef, lamb, aged hard cheeses; lay down 10–20 years.
