On the palate

A blended whisky from Sakurao Distillery in Japan, matured in the former Togouchi railway tunnel, where conditions stay cool and stable, and finished in rum casks. Bottled at 43%. Le Comptoir Irlandais lists ripe banana, pineapple, vanilla, coconut and honey on the nose, with tropical fruit, brown sugar and candied citrus on the palate.
