Vedrenne has been producing fruit-based spirits in Nuits-Saint-Georges (Burgundy) since 1923 the Burgundy wine village most associated with fine Pinot Noir, which gives the house its geographical and cultural identity within the French liqueur tradition. Vedrenne operates in the same classical French maison de liqueur tradition as Gabriel Boudier (Dijon) and Massenez (Alsace), with particular emphasis on Burgundian and broader French fruit.

The Vedrenne range at Bouchon covers 56+ expressions across fruit cremes, herbal liqueurs, and specialty preparations. As the Nuits-Saint-Georges counterpart to the Dijon and Alsace houses, Vedrenne is anchored in the Burgundian fruit tradition Noir de Bourgogne blackcurrant cassis, raspberry, cherry, pear with an extended range covering tropical and contemporary flavours. The 5-litre format is available for back-bar use. For programmes wanting complete French fruit-liqueur coverage, the combination of Boudier, Massenez, and Vedrenne provides essentially full coverage of the classical French liqueur category.

What we carry

Bouchon stocks the breadth of the range: classic crème de cassis at 16% and Supercassis at 20%, the standard fruit crèmes in 700ml, the more unusual aperitifs (Guignolet Kirsch, Chestnut, Saffron), and the Elie-Arnaud Denoix absinthe collaboration. The crèmes are the workhorses behind a Kir Royale, French 75 variations, and any Burgundy-faced cocktail program; the rarer aperitifs and Denoix absinthes earn their keep on a digestif trolley or back-bar.

Method

Chop off the ears of a large chocolate bunny. Add coconut cream, Lime, Leaves and lemongrass into a shaker. Muddle well. Add the rum and Creme de cacao to the shaker. Add ice and shake. Add crushed ice into the bunny. Double strain into the chocolate bunny. Garnish with mint sprig, edible flowers, and 2 lime Leaves “bunny ears”

Method

Add all ingredients to a shaking tin and then add ice. Shake well and strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with a half slice of grapefruit. Earl Grey Cordial*: Combine equal parts earl grey tea leaves and honey, the zest of 1 lime and a few dashes of Orange juniper Bitters. Filter out the tea and lime and keep refrigerated.

Method

Garnish with dark chocolate shavings and tangelo zest Make the chocolate shavings first (I used a vegetable peeler to do it) and set aside. Add all ingredients except garnishes to shaker. Dry shake for 45-60 seconds. Then fill shaker halfway with ice, shake again until cold and strain into a regular size coupe glass. Garnish: Apple Disc Muddle raspberries in a shaker with lemon juice till smooth, add the rest of ingredients. Shake with ice, strain to remove all bits and ice. Then shake again and pour into a chilled coupe.

Method

Shake all ingredients except the chambord. Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with candied ginger and cherry. Gently pour Chambord on top.

Method

On a medium-high flame, bring all ingredients to a simmer. Gently pour over 500ml milk and let it steep overnight. Strain out mixture through the curds and coffee filter twice. Bottle and store. Pour over good ice in an Old Fashioned glass. Garnish with a mochi ball.

Method

Method

Cordial: Let whole raspberries and strawberries sit in cold water. Leave it long enough for the water to take on their flavour but not the colour of the berries. Afterwards, add the supasawa and Simple syrup to Cordial. The process: Coat the top of a Collins glass with icing and rim with shaved coconut. Then skewer 3 small marshmallows with a toothpick to make the snowman and add two cloves for the arms. Stick the exposed end of the toothpick (which should be on the bottom) into a large marshmallow along with a sprig of rosemary and place at the bottom of the rimmed Collins glass with just a splash of water. Set in freezer and let freeze. After it’s frozen, just pour mixture with some loose coconut shavings and enjoy!

Method

Combine all the ingredients except cucumber and Soda Water into a shaker and shake. Fine strain into a wine glass with ice. Top with Soda. Garnish with mint sprig and cucumber roll. Dust mint with fine icing sugar.

Method

Prep glass by rubbing a champagne flute with lemon and rolling is in the rosemary Sugar. Stir ingredients with ice and strain into prepared glass. Garnish with a coiled lemon peel and sprig of rosemary. Rosemary Sugar Rim* place several sprigs of fresh rosemary in a mason jar and fill with sugar. Seal and let sit overnight, shaking occasionally.

Method

Pour the tequila into a glass and add a couple of dried whole butterfly pea flowers and let it macerate for half an hour or so. Combine all ingredients into a shaker filled with ice and shake until chilled. Double strain into a glass rimmed with Wild Hibiscus Flower Salt.

Method

A few drops of Grapefruit Bitters Combine the pink ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into a glass filled with ice. Top with crushed ice.
