On the palate

A rhum agricole from Marie-Galante, made by grappa distiller Gianni Capovilla and Velier owner Luca Gargano at the Bielle distillery. It is distilled from cane juice in a bain-marie pot still and aged six years in wine and bourbon casks. This full-proof Libération 2015, bottled at 58.4%, was the brand's third release after 2010 and 2012; the year on the label is the bottling year.
